Positano

Possibly the most charming small village along the picturesque Amalfi coast, Positano may suffer somewhat from being overrun by the ubiquitious tourist hordes. Overpriced hotels and restaurants pander heavily to tourists all along the winding road down to the town centre.

A town beloved of the literary crowd particularly in the 50's, I found it much too crowded for my tastes in the noughties.
